At the Croydon Creative Enterprise Zone (CEZ), our mission is simple: to ensure local creatives, makers, freelancers, and independent brands have the visibility, community, and support they need to thrive.
Originally accredited by the Mayor of London in 2018 to nurture the borough's creative sector, we have evolved into an independent Community Interest Company (CIC). Led by our Board Chair, Lizzy Lambie, we stand today as Croydon's growth engine for local talent - protecting affordable workspaces, introducing upskilling initiatives, and building an ecosystem where creative individuals and businesses succeed.
Visibility First: We believe local talent deserves to be seen. Through our centralised Croydon Creative Directory, we actively drive awareness, traffic, and commercial growth directly to independent local businesses.
Accessibility & Inclusion: Space and community should be open to all. From our physical Free Social Workspace hours to our subsidised events space, we break down financial barriers so artists can create without constraints.
Sustainable Legacy: We aren’t just creating temporary moments; we are future-proofing Croydon as a permanent cultural capital by keeping creative enterprise right at the heart of our community.
Our Creative Space: Located right on the lower ground floor of Croydon Centrale, our physical space acts as a vibrant environment for co-working, networking, and creative collaboration.
Our Business Directory: Our match-making tool linking Croydon’s design, digital, visual art, and music innovators with industry partners and new clients.
Business Support & Community Engagement Events: Backing our community with the masterclasses, mentorship, and opportunities to get local talent where it needs to be. We bring this to life through initiatives like our interactive Creative Confessions, Croydon Live & Direct showcases, immersive Love Me: Croydon sessions, our community-driven Wall Art in Centrale Croydon open calls, and our landmark upcoming 2026 Croydon CEZ Art Auction.
